Antibiotic Resistance

Antimicrobical resistance (AMR) has become one of the biggest threats to global health. Without continuous development of novel therapeutic modalities, there is a risk of entering a post-antibiotic era with unprecedented economic and social costs. The United Nations General Assembly has therefore taken up AMR as only the fourth health issue in a high-level meeting in 2016.

Allecra’s mission is to contribute towards the global effort to combat antibiotic resistance by developing new treatments which overcome emerging resistance mechanisms thereby saving lives of patients whose infections may otherwise may be inadequately treated.
